Residential projects include new homes, re-build and repair due to fire damage, remodels, additions, accessory dwelling units (ADUs) including garage conversions, and duplexes. We offer a free initial consultation to discuss and evaluate your project. We can answer questions in regards design, structural issues and zoning requirements.
We offer a full package to our clients, from design to a full set of plans approved by the City. This proves to be time and cost-saving and results in a completely coordinated set of plans. If additional consultants are needed such as a soils engineer or a surveyor, we coordinate this for the client.
We offer full 3D modeling of larger projects which includes a computerized walk through of the project.
We offer full supervision of projects if required by our clients. If the client prefers, we offer a basic package which includes a full set of plans, approved by the City along with inspections of the project as required. In addition, we offer zoning services for such issues as zone changes, yard variances and parcel maps.
Our People
Lawrence Woodcraft, AIA
Lawrence obtained his California Architect’s license in 1992 and started his Architecture practice in the Los Angeles area in 1993. Prior to this he worked for the design and development office of California Pizza Kitchen as a Project Manager, and for Schneider Architects in Hollywood.
Lawrence obtained his degree in Architecture from the University of Nottingham in the United Kingdom. He was a licensed Architect in the UK for 12 years before coming to the U.S., and worked on both residential and commercial projects.
Since 1993, Lawrence has concentrated primarily on residential projects. This has included remodels and additions to existing homes, new custom homes, duplexes and small multi-family projects. He has also undertaken commercial projects including night clubs, restaurants and tenant improvement projects. His philosophy has been to listen carefully to clients regarding their requirements, ideas and budget. This has then been translated into excellence in design in a variety of styles suited to Southern California. These include Contemporary, Mediterranean, Spanish, Craftsman and Traditional.
Astra Woodcraft
Following in her father’s footsteps, Astra Woodcraft received her California Architect’s license in 2010. She brings over 20 years of experience in the field of Architecture. Astra specializes in space planning, additions and new homes as well as planning and zoning consultation and code issue expertise.
Raul Mayorga
Raul Mayorga is a Senior Designer specializing in new custom homes from schematic design, through 3D modeling to construction documents, city agency approval and onto construction completion. Raul has 25+ years of experience in the field.
Jewell Ros
Jewell Ros is an Senior Designer involved in all aspects of residential and commercial design projects from as built floor plans, schematic design, construction documents and city agency approval through construction completion. Jewell specializes in 3D visualization – 3D renderings for architectural presentations and translating complex concepts into easy to grasp 3D visuals for clients.
Lital Carmel
Lital Carmel is an Associate Designer involved in all aspects of residential design projects at our firm. She graduated from California Polytechnic University in Pomona with an Architecture degree. With her keen eye for design, Lital has helped countless clients with all their architectural needs from initial sketches and floor plans, schematic design, 3D renderings, construction documents and city agency approval through construction completion.
